ARMS Medical Podcast for Surgeons: Introduction to Red Alinsod, M.D.

Rob Greer and I have worked together for almost two decades. He saw me invent and get patents on the Lone Star Retractor, Sling with Bladder Support, System for Pelvic Reconstruction, Alinsod Table, ThermiVa, etc. I happened to be in Fort Lauderdale for ISCG 2023, visited Marco Pelosi’s famous cadaver course at Marina Medical, and BOOM there was Rob. We had worked together most recently on the shape and design of VNew. He pulled me into the room with lots of equipment and this is our short discussion and catch up on what I have been up to. Enjoy. My patents

My original anterior wall design created for Caldera/MPathy/Coloplast way back starting in 2002-2008 and then refined for another decade. Much copied.

The most recent iteration of my designs came out as VNew for both anterior and posterior wall repairs. Made of shaped human dermis.

I presented this last year at ISCG 2022. I presented the non-shaped dermal graft at this same meeting in 2021.
